Today, we are kicking off a new series called Common Warehousing and 3PL terms to explain and delve into a few common (and uncommon) logistics terms that you may run across. First one up:

LIFO/FIFO

These two terms are semi-common terms. LIFO is Last In, First Out; and FIFO is First In, First Out. In order fulfillment, this means the first products to come in to the warehouse, are the first products to be shipped out; or the last products in are the first products shipped out. Deciding which you want can affect your product’s quality, especially if it’s food-related.
