Common Warehousing & 3PL Terms: Backhaul

Backhaul

The backhaul is the return trip back from the original destination point to the point of origin. It is here that the backhaul can be used to transport even more goods and products. The backhaul term is used quite more frequently than front haul (the original trip of point of origin to destination). Utilizing the backhaul saves time, money, and environmental resources.
